Malpractice Policy
Purpose and Aim
Apprent Assess is dedicated to ensuring end-point assessments are accurately developed, delivered, and awarded, by taking all reasonable steps to prevent malpractice or maladministration. This policy outlines Apprent Assess’ procedures for investigating and managing suspected or alleged malpractice or
maladministration, ensuring they are always up to date and consistently followed. Apprent Assess is committed to adhering to regulatory requirements, including Ofqual’s General Conditions of Recognition concerning malpractice and maladministration. The purpose of this policy is to protect the integrity and reputation of Apprent Assess and its assessments.

Malpractice and Maladministration
Malpractice refers to negligence or misconduct. It usually involves a failure to meet the expected requirement of an EPA leading to harm or injury to parties involved, impacting, for example:
- The assessment process
- The validity of a result or certificate
- The reputation and credibility of Apprent Assess
Maladministration refers to inefficient, incompetent, or dishonest management or execution of administrative duties relating to EPA.
