Conflict of Interest Policy

Purpose and Aim

This policy is established to help Apprent Assess identify, manage, and mitigate any potential or actual conflicts of interest when engaging individuals. It applies to all aspects of the apprenticeship cycle, including program delivery, and the development, administration, assessment, and grading of end-point assessments. Apprent Assess acknowledges that its key stakeholders may participate in a range of activities and hold various roles
within Apprent Assess and other organisations.

The aim of this policy is to ensure that apprentices receive an impartial assessment, resulting in outcomes that are fair, reliable, and consistent with the assessment plans.

Scope

As an apprenticeship end-point assessment organisation, Apprent Assess is required to deliver an independent and objective evaluation of the knowledge, skills, and behaviours specified in the relevant apprenticeship standard, thereby ensuring the integrity of the apprenticeship program and the associated award. This includes maintaining a clear division between apprenticeship program delivery and the delivery of end-point assessments (EPA). All employees, stakeholders, and third parties must understand the significance of conflicts of interest and the potential impact on the organisation and apprentice outcomes.

This policy is implemented through training and/or guidance provided to all individuals involved in the EPA process, enabling them to recognise and manage any potential conflicts of interest (whether perceived or actual) that may arise. Those involved in EPA are responsible for familiarising themselves with this policy and
any related guidance, and for participating in any training provided.

This policy is relevant to all key stakeholders involved in the implementation of Apprent Assess business and anyone who can influence outcomes. This includes employers, learning providers (or other contractors), Apprent Assess staff, and governing body members.
